Pearson's cost of common equity is computed as shown below:

WACC = Cost of debt ( 1 - tax rate ) x weight of debt + Cost of equity x weight of equity

0.1060 = 0.09 ( 1 - 0.25 ) x 0.40 + cost of equity x 0.60

Cost of equity = 6,54% Approximately
