Aponeurosis is a connective tissue which provides a muscle to attach to the bone or cartilage. Aponeurosis is a collection or bundle of collagen tissue which act like a fascia and covers or binds the muscle to reduce pressure or tension.

Aponeurosis is dervied from a Greek word aponeurousthai means to become tentanious means to change into tendon.
