According to the question,
required grade = (0.5 x study hours) + (0.25 x class attendance) + (0.25 x old grade)
Now putting the numbers into the equation and taking study hours as 'X'
required grade = 4, study hours = X, class attendance = 4, old grade = 2.75
so, 4 = (0.5 x X) + (0.25 x 4) + (0.25 x 2.75)
0.5X = 4 - 1 + 0.68
0.5X = 2.32
X = 2.32 x 2
X = 4.64 so the study hours should be 4.6 hours approx to fetch GPA = 4
