Cell cycle:-

At this moment millions of cells in your body are dividing which is part of the process in the cell cycle. This is for : growth, repair, a sexual reproduction.

Cellcycle:- Regular sequence of growth and division which cells undergo it is divided into three stages.

• Interphase
• Mitosis
• Cytokinesis

Interphase:- period before cell division where the cell grows (G1) copies it's DNA (S) prepares to divide (G2).

Mitosis:- stage during which the cell nuclears divides in two new nuclei . One copy of DNA is distribute evenly into each of the daughter cells.

Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase

Cytokinesis:- This final stage is where the cytoplasm divides and the organelles are distributed into each of the two new daughter cells.

STEPS MITOSIS:-

1) Prophase:-

First and longest stage in the mitosis

In the nuclears:-

• Nucleolus disappears
• Chromosomes condense and become visible Xs
• Nuclear envelope break down

In the Cytoplasm:-

• Centrioles move to opposite end of the cell and mitotic spindle begins to form cetrosome areas
• Newly freed chromosomes attached to the microtubules of the mitotic spindle and their centromeres.

2) Metaphase:-

• Short phase lasting only a couple of minutes
• Chromosomes move along the spindle microtubules to lineup along the midline of the cell.

3) Anaphase:-

• Chromosomes split at the centromere with each sister chromatid being pulled to opposite poles of the cell.
• Results in an identical set of DNA at either end of the cell

4) Telophase:-

• Mitosis completes as a new nuclear envelope forms around both groups of chromosomes
• Chromosomes spread back out in the new nuclears and nucleoli appear.
