Put the steps in order for the cell cycle and mitosis. Thank you
Cell cycle:-
At this moment millions of cells in your body are dividing which is part of the process in the cell cycle. This is for : growth, repair, a sexual reproduction.
Cellcycle:- Regular sequence of growth and division which cells undergo it is divided into three stages.
Interphase:- period before cell division where the cell grows (G1) copies it's DNA (S) prepares to divide (G2).
Mitosis:- stage during which the cell nuclears divides in two new nuclei . One copy of DNA is distribute evenly into each of the daughter cells.
Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase
Cytokinesis:- This final stage is where the cytoplasm divides and the organelles are distributed into each of the two new daughter cells.
STEPS MITOSIS:-
1) Prophase:-
First and longest stage in the mitosis
In the nuclears:-
In the Cytoplasm:-
2) Metaphase:-
3) Anaphase:-
4) Telophase:-
Question 3 (6 points) Saved Put these steps in order as they happen in mitosis of a cell in interphase. Microtubules release chromatids Microtubules attach to chromatids 1 Formation of 2 nuclear envelopes Chromosomes condense & disintegration of nuclear envelope Chromosomes split and sister chromatids migrate to opposite poles Chromosomes line up in the center of the cell

When does DNA replication occur in the cell cycle? mitosis cytokinesis O meiosis both mitosis and meiosis sphase of interphase A hermaphroditic worm would create gametes with what type of cell division? mitosis none of these synapsis O meiosis
mitosis meiosis during which part of the cell cycle do you see replication of DNA? what type of cytoskeletal filament is on the spindle? when in mitosis do you see the seperation of chromatids? what do we call the location of a gene on the chromosome?
Simulate mitosis by drawing and include the following: Instructions: Set up your cell. The cell you start with should be: A diploid cell It should contain 2 homologous pairs of chromosomes (the cell has more chromosome pairs, but we are just looking at 2 of them) It should be in G1 of the cell cycle, before DNA replication occurs Be sure to show 2 genes that are both heterozygous . There should be one gene on each chromosome. Go through...
18) Draw a cell in each stage of the cell cycle (mitosis) and what it and its chromosomes would look like under a microscope - pretend that there are 2 pairs of chromosomes in each of these cells. Prophase Metaphase Anaphase Telophase
Chapter 8: Cellular Reproduction: Cells from Cells Chapter Content: The Cell Cycle and Mitosis Complete the following questions as you read the chapter content-The Cell Cycle and Mitosis: 1. Inside the nucleus of a cell you will find DNA associated with proteins. This combination of protein and DNA is known as a. a centromere b. chromatin c. sister chromatids d. a gene 2. Use the figure below to answer this question: Which organism has over twice as many chromo- somes...
Does meiosis occur in the cell cycle? i am confused because if the
cell cycle is represented as the image below, then when/where does
meiosis occur?
The Cell Cycle Interphase Synthesis period when the DNA is replicated and chromosome Gap 2 is duplicated period of cell growth, prepares for mitosis Gap 1 - period of cell growth, normal metabolism, duplication of organelles metaphase prophase telophase anaphase Checkpoint Mitosis Checkpoint Final checkpoint during mitosis 2 new cells produced and each can...
1- list and describe the steps of mitosis starting with interphase and moving through the cycle? 2- write the general equation for photosynthesis including balance value for input and output? 3- list six organelles find in a cell and describe each of the general functions? 4- what are the basic assumption of scientific thoughts list a testable statement and non-testable statements 5- describe how climate are predicted to change in the next century؟ 6-describe the general theory of mendel inheritance?...
Cell Division The fraction of cells in a population that are undergoing mitosis (the mitotic index) is a convenient way to estimate the length of the cell cycle. You have decided to measure the cell cycle in the kidney of the adult badger by measuring mitotic index. Accordingly, you have prepared kidney sections obtained from unfortunately road-killed badgers collected from Wisconsin. You stained the cells in the sections to make cells in mitosis easy to see. After 3 days of...
