Answer #1

(a).

1. There are two type of waves, a). mechanical wave

b). non mechanical wave

mechanical wave requires medium to travel from one point to another point whereas non mechanical wave does not require any medium to travel from one point to another point.

on the basis of oscillation of molecules of medium when a non mechanical wave Travels.

if molecule oscillates perpendicular to the propagation of wave then it is called transverse wave.

if molecule oscillates parallel to the propagation of wave then it is called longitudinal wave.

some examples are:-

sound wave is longitudinal wave and light is transverse wave.

as electric and magnetic field oscillates perpendicular to the direction of propagation of electromagnetic wave.

whane it is measured in oY Hz → 다 Phase Censtthon Phage Constant
