Answer #1

Magnesium metal reacts with hot water(steam) to form magnesium hydroxide and hydrogen gas.

Molecular :

Mg(s) + 2H2O(g) \rightarrow Mg(OH)2(aq) + H2(g)

Ionic:

Mg(s) + 2H2O(g) \rightarrow Mg2+(aq) + 2 OH-(aq) + H2(g)

Net ionic equation:

Mg(s) + 2H2O(g) \rightarrow Mg2+(aq) + 2 OH-(aq) + H2(g)

Here there are no spectator ions so ionic equation is same as net ionic equation.
