1 XeF4 = Square plane (A)

It is an octahedral but because of the lone pairs, it dictate there 6 Domains around the central atom and the VSEPR theory states any AX4E2species with 2 lone pairs is square planar. ( Figure - 1)

2. GeF4 = Tetrahedron (B)

GeF4 has 4 single bonds and no lone pairs around the central atom. Therefore, from VSEPR, the shape is tetrahedral. AXE species with no lone pair. ( Figure - 2)

AX4E species and it has 4 bond pair and 1 lone pair so possible geometry is trigonal bipyramidal as there is only one lone pair so we mainly consider lone pair - bond pair repulsion for shape , and if we place the lone pair at axial position then angle would be 90 degree and if place it at equatorial positionh then angle would be 120 degree. ( Figure - 3)
