Assuming that a driver can read a road sign within area of vision at a distance of 5 m for every cm of letter height, determine where the road sign with letter height of 15cm should be placed to inform the driver about the exit ramp. [25 marks] b. Determine whether a driver of a car leading to the exit ramp with a speed of 80km/h at a distance of 40m from the exit ramp is aware about the road sign. [25 marks]

How to do question for part (a) and (b)?

Total distance = 40 + 44.5 = 84.5m

We already calculated that a driver with normal vision can read the sign board when he is <75m from the sign board.

Hence we can say that the driver moving with 80kmph is well aware of the sign board
