The equilibrium is

PbI2 (s) <=> Pb2+ (aq) + 2 I- (aq)

Ksp=[Pb2+][I-]

=4x^3

but due to presence of KI I- is already present.

hence I-=x+0.1 (as KI is strong electrolyte.)

ksp=8.49*10^-9=x*2(x+0.1)^2

8.49*10^-9=2x*0.01

molar solubility=8.49*10^-7

KI decreased the solubility of PbI2
