Answer #1

Cafeteria approach to flexible benefits is that employees have the choice to select the benefits that suit them and their needs. The employees get the choice for selection of additional benefits offered by the employers apart from the mandatory benefits. The unwanted behaviour rules and regulations examples are violating personal rights of an individual at workplace, bias and discrimination at workplace, influence of intoxicated things like alcohol at workplace, making defamatory and offensive remarks at workplace and not following the workplace decorum and discipline. It is to address any instances that disturb the workplace environment and affect the productivity and morale of the employees.

Five methods for job evaluation process when establishing pay rates include the Job ranking method when compensation is established based on ranking the jobs as per their perceived value. Job grading method is used to decide pay rates based on the classification of jobs into certain grades based on the levels of skills and job responsibilities involved in the job and matching it to specific grades. Competitive market trend analysis or Salary Survey is also used for job evaluation to establish pay rates. Factor comparison technique is another method of job evaluation where the factors like skills, responsibilities and other job related conditions are assigned a factor value. Point rating method of job evaluation for determining pay rates follows identifying the factors involved in jobs and classifying them into skills, responsibilities, working conditions etc. and assigning weight to each of the factors to determine the total weighted value for the job.

It makes sense to use an incentive plan for supporting the employees to motivate them to complete their targets and goals. Incentives can help to perform above the expected level and positively influencing the work and business outcomes. It can help in employee retention and providing competitive monetary benefits based on their work and performance. The employees if given incentives are ready to assume more responsibilities.

It can be related to Victor Vroom's motivation theory as the individual is motivated to work if they expect to earn rewards for their performance . The degree of efforts a person exerts to achieve a goal or reward depends on the expectation that they will be able to perform successfully and it will lead them to get rewards.
