Molecular weight of solute= 243 g/mol

One litre of drug consists of 6 mg of solute ie 0.006 g

Number of moles = 0.006 g/(243 g/mol)

= 2.469×10-5 moles

10-6 mole = 1 micromole (mcmol)

2.469 ×10-5 moles = ? micromoles

= 2.469×10-5/10-6 micromoles(mcmol)

= 24.69 micromoles (mcmol)

Therefore 6 mg/L = 24.69 mcmol/L

Given that US concentration = 38 mg/L

Molecular weight of solute= 114 g/mol

One litre of drug consists of 38 mg of solute ie 0.038 g

Number of moles = 0.038 g/(114 g/mol)

= 3.333×10-4 moles

= 3.333×10-4/10-6 micromoles(mcmol)
