Answer #1

Given that N<3 .................. (1)

2(a) choose any number less than 3, let it be 2.... now Put N=2 in inequality (1) .

So 2<3

hence It is TRUE because 2 is less than 3.

2(b) Choose any number greater than 4. so let it be 5, so put N=5 in inequality (1)

hence 5<3

which is not TRUE. because 5 is more than 3, not less than 3.

2(c) Now Put N=3

so 3<3 which is Not TRUE again... inequality (1) does not hold when N=3

now Put N=4, so 4 <3, Which is Not TRUE,

2(d) Conjecture, "N" Should be less than 3 than only inequality holds TRUE else Inequality(1) will Not Hold TRUE.

    please answer all the questions. just rearranging. Explanation is not needed. Use modular arithmetic to prove that 3|(221 – 1) for an integer n > 0. Hence, 3|(221 – 1) for n > 0. To show that 3|(221 – 1), we can show that (221 – 1) = 0 (mod 3). We have: (221 – 1) = (4” – 1) (mod 3) Then, (22n – 1) = (1 - 1) = 0 (mod 3) Since 4 = 1 (mod 3),...

A procedure for making this kind of determination is called an acid-base titration. In this laboratory process, a solution of known concentration, called the standard solution, is carefully added to a solution of unknown concentration until the mixture becomes neutral. The neutral point...
