Digestion of food starts from mouth itself

In the mouth food partially digested.

Teeth crushes the solid food into small pieces, tongue move the food from left to right for chewing.

Saliva moisture the solid and dry food. Saliva contains salivary amylase enzyme which partially digest carbohydrates.

At the end after chewing and mixing with saliva solid food turns into bolus.
