Answer #1

Anorexia Nervosa is a eating disorder causing excessive weight loss or fear of gaining weight.People with this take major care to maintain their weight and shape. For this they restrict the food intake. They do extensive physical exercise or may even vomit after eating. How much ever they lose weight, they continues to fear of gaining it.This condition is not really about food,it's about emotional problem.

It's a kind of self starvation which may even deny essential nutrients for the body to function naturally. The body is forced to slow down the normal process to conserve energy resulting in serious health issues. The body may even be at high.risk of death.

There are so many factors, physical as well as emotional which is the reason for this disease like denying feeling hungry.not having enough food due to fear of gaining weight, feeling tired, fatiqu and so on.Almost 30-50% of these people have mood disorder,OCD and social phobia.Hormonal change can also be one of the reason.

Early diagnosis and treatment can help to come out.A full medical history with all details related to diet and past history has to be taken. And once it's confirmed some diseases like diabetes, thyroid etc has to be ruled out.
