The correct option is both (a) and (d).

EXPLANATION: By ideal gas law, PV = nRT. So, for a fix amount of gas,

  • Pressure, P \propto Temperature, T at constant volume
  • Pressure, P \propto 1/Volume, V at constant temperature

So, if we decrease the volume, V by keeping the temperature, T constant than the pressure will be increased. In the same manner, if we increase the temperature by heating keeping the volume constant, pressure will be increased. Hence, the correct option is both a and d.
