A(g) + 2B(g) -------> C(g)

For this reaction ,equation relating rate of dissapearence of reactant and rate of formation of products

- d [A]/dt = -(1/2)d[B]/dt = d[C]/dt

Therefore,

rate of decrease of A = rate of decrease of B/2

rate of decrease of A = 0.5 (mol/L .s) /2

rate of decrease of A = 2.5 mol/L.s
