The substances which are conduct electricity through it either in aqueous solution state or molten state is called as electrolyte.

The conductivity is due the movement of ions either in aqueous solution state or molten state.

The substance which undergoes complete ionization and conduct more conductivity through it is called as strong electrolyte

The substance which undergoes partially ionization and conduct less conductivity through it is called as weak electrolyte

The substance which donot contains ions either in aqueous solution or molten state are called as non-electrolyte.

a)

NaClO4 is a ionic compound . So it undergoes complete ionization and conduct more electricity.

Hence NaClO4 is a strong electrolyte.

b) (NH4)2CO is a covalent compound. It is dissolved in H2O to form their aqueous solution.

In aqueous solution state also, (NH4)2CO exists in their molecular state. So, it do not contains any ions.

Hence , it is Non-electrolyte.

c)

CH3COOH is weak acid. So, it undergoes partially ionization and gives less number of ions. SO, its conductivity is less.

Hence , it is weak electrolyte.

d)

HClO4 is a strong acid. So , it undergoes complete ionization and contains more number of ions. So , its conductivity is more.

Hence , it is strong electrolyte.
