When most people hear "flu," they typically think of seasonal flu. No doubt, seasonal flu can be deadly, especially for the very young and old, as well as those with compromised immune systems. For most people, however, the seasonal flu virus, which mutates just a little bit every year, is not particularly severe because our immune systems have already probably seen a similar flu virus and thus know how to fight it. It's called native immunity or protection, and almost all of us have some degree of it. Babies are more vulnerable because they haven't been exposed to seasonal flu and older people because their immune systems may not be functioning as well.Pandemic flu is a different animal, and you should understand the difference.

Answer #1

Answer: The US government should require everyone to be vaccinated to reduce the risk of transmission of the flu or any communicable disease. Usually flu spreads widely because of the droplets spread all over the atmosphere. It becomes difficult for everyone to prevent themselves from microbes invasion, specially those working in the hospitals.

Vaccination provides protection from most of the deadly disease. Vaccination improves the immunity and hence decreases the risk of disease occurance. Children should be immunized to prevent from communicable diseases such as measles, chicken pox etc. Those children or people who are not vaccinated are at high risk of developing diseases. They can even transfer these disease to the people who are not vaccinated or the adults who have low immunity. The vaccines are cheap, easily available and safe.
