Answer: Myocardial infarction is a another name of heart attack. In this condition, the blood flow to the heart gets completely eliminated. Hence it damage to the heart muscles. It is a painful condition the patient experience.

Sign and symptoms:

  • Sweating
  • Nausea
  • Extreme pain near chest, back
  • Vomiting. Inability to speak properly.

Complications:

  • Pericarditis
  • Heart failure
  • Cardiac rupture.

Treatment:

  • Medication such as blood thinner, nitroglycerin are given to the patient.
  • Angioplasty can pe performed.
  • Adopting healthy lifestyle.

Arrhythmia : It is a condition where heart rate becomes either too rapid or too slow.

Symptoms:

  • Breathing problem
  • Fast heart rate
  • Decreased respiratory rates.
  • Fatigue.

Complications:

  • Heart attack
  • High blood pressure.
  • Lack of oxygen.

Treatment:

  • Installation of pacemaker which is a small device.
  • Bypass surgery
  • Hypertensive drugs are given to lower high blood pressure.
