Active listening is a very important skill which is required for all health care personnel. Active listening is listening completely with full attention and concentration . It helps you to understand the message completely. By doing active listening, we can give clear solutions or suggestions to the problem. Active listening helps you to develop confidence and trust in between the communicators.

Sympathy is understanding the feeling of others whereas empathy is understanding and also experiencing the feeling of others. In empathy we will experience the same feelings like how others are saying, and we will search for solutions to their problems..

In communicating empathy, listening is very essential. We have to view the problem from others point of view,, who is experiencing the problem.. Now we have to find solutions to the problem,, from their point of view . When we are using empathy, the persons are more comfortable and we can develop better communication .
