Sol.

As Balanced reaction of combustion :

C6H12O6 + 6O2 ----> 6CO2 + 6H2O

Energy released for 1 mole of glucose , C6H12O6 = 2387 KJ

Also , 1 mole of glucose , C6H12O6 combines with 6 moles of oxygen , O2

So , Energy released for 6 moles of O2 = 2387 KJ

And , Energy released for 3.348 moles of O2  

= 2387 × 3.348 / 6

= 1331.946 KJ

As 4.184  Kilojoule ( KJ ) = 1 Calories ( Cal )

So , Energy released for 3.348 moles of O2

= 1331.946 / 4.184 Cal

=   318.343 Cal
