Answer #1

We can use templates in C++ if we want to use for many data types.

1. Replace the line

int cloneArrayReturnMax(int* arr1, int size1, int* arr2, int size2) {

with

template <typename T>
T cloneArrayReturnMax(T* arr1, int size1, T* arr2, int size2) {

2. Replace the line

int max = arr1[ size1 - 1 ]

with

T max = arr1[ size1 - 1 ]

On each round of the game, both players lay down the top card from their hand. The player with the higher value...

    Introduction: One of the most important uses of pointers is for dynamic allocation of memory. In C++ there are commands that let the user request a chunk of memory from the operating system, and use this memory to store data. There are also commands to return memory back to the O/S when the program is finished using the data. In this lab, we will explore some of the things that can go wrong when using dynamic memory and discuss how...

The first will ask the user to enter some information (I have included the type in parentheses) First Name (char[]) Last Name (char[]) Age (int) Height in Inches (double) Weight in Pounds (double) You will use pass-by-reference to modify the values of the arguments passed in from the main(). Remember that arrays require no special notation, as they are passed by reference automatically, but the other...

    Must be written in C 89 Mode Array Insertion Your task is to complete the implementation of the insertion function, insert_into_array: int* insert_into_array(int arr[], size_t arr_len, int value, size_t pos); The insertion function inserts a value into an array at a specified position. All elements to the right of the inserted element are shifted over a position (upon inserting, all elements at the insertion position are shifted up an index, and the last element in the array is overwritten by...
