Let’s imagine a single slit experiments with electrons of energy 10.0 eV. Supposed to sleep with is 20.0 nanometers. What is the angle to the first diffraction minimum on either side of the center? You must find the wavelength of these electrons, to do this you first to get the momentum then you find the wavelength.

How do I find the momentum of an electron when I don’t know the wavelength? p= h/ is the formula to solve, what am I missing?

Consider a beam of electrons in a vacuum, passing through a very narrow slit of width 2.00μm. The electrons then head toward an array of detectors a distance 0.9050 m away. These detectors indicate a diffraction pattern, with a broad maximum of electron intensity (i.e., the number of electrons received in a certain area over a certain period of time) with minima of electron intensity on either side, spaced 0.512 cm from the center of the pattern. What is the...

Learning Goal: To understand de Broglie waves and the calculation of wave properties. In 1924, Louis de Broglie postulated that particles such as electrons and protons might exhibit wavelike properties. His thinking was guided by the notion that light has both wave and particle characteristics, so he postulated that particles such as electrons and protons would obey the same wavelength-momentum relation as that obeyed by light: λ=h/p, where λ is the wavelength, p the momentum, and h Planck's constant. Part...

For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
