Ms. F told her psychiatrists that she would like to have an abortion and given that she is early in her pregnancy, she could have a medical abortion that would require prescribing medication that she could take orally. After consultation with the obstetric and gynecology team, none of the gynecologists in the hospital are willing to prescribe the prescription for Ms. F. If Ms. F is delayed in receiving the abortion to after she is discharged from the hospital, she will have to have a surgical abortion.
