Answer #1

The vial containing 2 g of piperacillin sodium to 10 mL with sterile water for injection.

The 2 g solution is then diluted by adding it to 50 mL of 0.9%NaCl injection for administration by IVPB.

It means the total solution is 60ml. (50ml of NaCl + 2 g of piperacillin sodium of 10 mL)

Now, 60ml solution contains a total of 2gm I.e 2000 mg

Then 2000mg + 60ml = 33.33mg/ml

That means 1ml of solution contains 33 mg (in the round) of piperacillin sodium.
