• Lazy acceptance of information technology

Information technology has improved the health system a lot.Storing unstructured information,like transcripts and clinical notes,is difficult to be done by relational databases,but the disinterest in leaving the traditional method and accepting the new technology is found to be very slow public health care.Only a small percentage of health care providers are willingly accepting the technologies that can bring about drastic changes in health care.

• Increasing Consumerism

Internet provide a great access to health information,through which the patient and families are getting adequate information regarding the diagnosis and treatment.The consequence is that the patient are getting involved in decision making regarding the treatment.They themselves wish to deal with their illness in collaboration with the healthcare provider(Benbassat et al., 1998).The patient expresses their dismay if they are not allowed to be involved in decision making.

• Outrageous drug prices

Drug costs has increased drastically which is a struggle for the consumers to move on with the health care. As per the view of  pharmaceutical companies lowering the costs may harm their product development. Only the hospitals can find solution to this challenge by purchasing the drugs fairly.Drug prices should be put fairly according to the manufacturing costs which in turn will reduce the selection of low price alternatives by the patients against the prescribed drugs.

• Labor force shortages

According to the statistics the supply of health professionals vary yearly which could affect the health care services.Unfortunately,the under supply of nurses is a challenging situation in the healthcare nowadays.By 2020,this variation may reach 30 % according to Health Resources and Service Administration.This is due to the dissatisfaction of their job as a result of heavy workload and over time.This staff are also seen in pharmacy personnel as their workload has increased to patient education and medication management.
