Epidemiology in public healthmedicine is most appealing to me because

• it helps me to identify various diseases in my locality by seeing sign and symptoms
• it guides me to suggest preventive measures to yet healthy person and guiding those with disease.

Biostatistics is least appealing as i prefer interacting with community rather sitting in a room with papers and computer.

Four biggest challenges public health is facing in us are

1. Alcohol related illness is one of the main reason of mortality
2. Foodborne illness is a huge burden on economy
3. Healthcare associated infections are quite common
4. Deaths because of drug overdose are multiplying

recommendations to prevent foodborne illness

1. Corresponding authorities like center for disease control should take a leading role in promoting food safety at the federal level.
2. education program regarding this issue should be designed for vulnerable population
