Ans:- Tests that are done in case if someone is suspected to having heart failure are as follows:-

CBC ( complete blood count) :- To check anemia as it can exacerbate heart failure.

Thyroid function test :- As Hypothyroidism can result in heart failure.

Fasting blood test :- To check cholesterol as it also causes heart failure.

BNP ( B type natriuretic peptide) :- Indicates active heart failure.

Abnormal finding of these laboratory values indicates heart failure.

So will do all these laboratory tests in suspected patient.
