The current state of technology in the area of supply chain management seems to be minimal and significantly behind other industries. Most hospitals, including the largest and most advanced, are only in the beginning stages of developing an effective supply chain management system (Langabeer, 2016). During this beginning stage, there is still a major emphasis placed on paper-based forms and transactions. Hospitals are slowly moving toward automating key business processes and transactions as well as adopting electronic forms to create a transaction history (Langabeer, 2016). ​

Answer: I don't agree with this statement because due to increase in population, the demands should meet supply. The use of technology is generally done to make things and work easier and save time. Use of technology in hospital such as ordering medicine, hiring etc are generally now based on technology. It not only saves time but shorter the risk of errors. At present many of the hospitals are using smart and advanced technologies. In most of the field, there is enhancement and development in the usage of technology. As technology saves time as well as reduces the risk of errors. If we take example of the hospital, earlier all the records were maintained on paper and files. But at present EHR has been implemented in most of the hospitals. In EHR all the patient's records, as well as history, get uploaded and whenever necessary can be easily accessible.
