Native Americans are the poorest elderly ethnic group in the US. Although Hispanics and Afro Americans elderly are also poor and live in low socio-economic status in comparison with their White counterparts, the elderly population among them is economically in a better position than Native Americans. This doesn't imply that   they are wealthy but, in fact a majority of the population of elderly Blacks and Hispanics are economically vulnerable. Average household income of Asian Americans is better than any other minority groups in US. Although elderly among them may have problems they are not the poorest group.
