At the instant shown in the figure;

velocity of element 2

5r U2=w2r(cos(0)i+ sin(0)j) /2

for element 1, the velocity must be in horizontal direction due to constraint

hence, velocity of element 1 will be the horizontal component of the velocity of point B

UB= wzr(j) = 5ri

Hence the velocity of element 1 = 0

(B) Acceleration

Element 2

10r 25r agr(cos(0)i-sin(0)j) -wr(cos(0)i+ sin (0)j) (i+ V2 a2 -35r -15r =

Element 1

for element 1, the acceleration must be in horizontal direction due to constraint. Hence the acceleration of element 1 will be the horizontal component of acceleration of point B
