Answer #1

Solution:

First quarile (Q1) can be interpreted as follows:

The first quatile devides the whole data set such that, about 75% of the observations will be more than the Q1 value and 25% of the observations will be less than Q1 value.

Median can be interpreted as follows:

The median value devides the whole data set in two equal parts. It means 50% of the observations will be more than the median value and 50% of the observations will be less than median value.

Third quartile (Q3) can be interpreted as follows:

The third quatile devides the whole data set such that, about 25% of the observations will be more than the Q3 value and 75% of the observations will be less than Q3 value.

We are given, Q1 = 200, median = 245 and Q3 = 329.

1) About 75 percent of the chicks weigh more than 200.

2) About 50 percent of the chicks weigh more than 245.

3) About 25 percent of the chicks weigh more than 329.

4) About 50 percent of the chicks weighs between 200 and 329.
