Anyone contemplating stock market investing is likely to shudder at least a little bit at the markets penchant for taking a tumble now and again

Task: Write a brief informational report that contains a chart of one of the major stock market indices (such as the Dow Jones Industrial Average or the S&P 500) over the past 20 years. Pick out four significant drops in the index during this time period and investigate economic or political events that occured immediately before or during these declines. Briefly describe the events and their likely effect on the stock market.

In the graph shown in the attached document, it is fairly visible that the four drop in stock markets have been due to least productivity and an intense setback to the world economy:

• 2008 Great US Recession caused workers productivity to plunge and took of 102 billion dollars Markets Capitalization of Stock exchange.
• 2014 Russian Financial Crisis due to lowest prices of crude oil affected the Russian economy and stopped cross border payments with the US and its trade and hence debt piled up for US manufacturing companies.
• 2016 Brexit is another phenomenon when world Growth flattened which affected entire Europe and US trade significantly.
• 2017 onwards saw Demonetization in India which rendered a sharp decline in trade with the US and the least amount of software export and manpower mobility which flattened Dow Jones and NYSE both.
