So I am doing some research about triple-negative breast cancer and came up with a hypothesis.
"Overexpression of Estrogen receptors in triple-negative breast cancer will help decrease metastases."
What are some ways to approach this and test this hypothesis. Please explain as I am very confused how to do this.
the research approach to be used to test this hypothesis is experimental research approach.
they are various types of experimental design are there, among them suggested design is controlled experimental design.
they are 2 groups in this design.
1. experimental group: where the samples recieve the experiment ( recieving estrogen receptors - breast cancer), this variable is tested.
2. control group: where the samples does not recieve the treatment, with this experiment group is comapred.
with this your research hypothesis can be tested.

Sam is doing a research project where Sam developed some specific hypothesis about the dose effect of a new drug. Sam predicts that 0 mg dose (control) will be less effective than the 5 mg dose, and the 5 mg will be less effective than the 10 mg. After running an ANOVA, Sam is disappointed that that there was no significant result. However, Sam runs follow-up t-tests anyways, and discovers that there was a significant improvement between the 0 mg...
The Case Study in Cancer Part I Ann is a 27-year-old nurse working at the local hospital in surgery. She had worked hard to move into the specialty, and she was enjoying her career, friends, and family. She and her partner had been living together for about a year, and she was content. As a nurse, Ann knew the importance of doing breast self-exams, and did them regularly. In the shower one morning, she felt a lump she wasn’t familiar...
Hi, I am proposing a research study that looks at the effects of mindfulness on stress reduction. There are 64 participants. 32 control group and 32 experimental group. The 32 experimental will receive the treatment: 8 week Mindfulness based stress reduction course (MBSR) All participants will fill out a Perceived stress scale survey before and after data collection . The results will show a significant decrease in perceived stress among the experimental group. So, my question is: What sort of...
Hello, I am just wanting some help with clarifying genetic crosses to use to test different aims of genetics and inheritance using 2 genes. I have included part a, b, c, d for a question (without values as Im confident with this myself) and Included my answers / confusion for each. I would love you to clarify if this is the correct cross. a. To test for the dominance of the mutant phenotype at each locus: Dihybrid cross using 2...
I am doing some personal research in this specific area and wanted to ask something related to photons and EM force. are involved. Here is a thought experiment that doesn't add up to observed results, what's the flaw? Initial assumption: Virtual photons are the carriers for EM force even in static situations. Initial setup: Two oppositely charged parallel metallic plates are set up like a simple capacitor, inside the plates are an uniform static electric field, fringe fields are ignored....
I have some questions for this example I figured out the rest but these are the ones I need help learning What is the research hypothesis? What decision should be made regarding the null hypothesis? Are the results statistically significant? Name on potential confounding variable for this study? Some have claimed that children of divorced parents are not as socially well-adjusted as children of parents who are married. To test this idea, Dr. Curious set up a study with two...
