Ans. (a) Standard direct labor rate per hour = Wage rate + Payroll taxes + Fringe benefits

= 17.74 + 0.52 + 1.50

= $19.76 per hour

Ans. (b) Standard direct labor hours per gallon = Actual production time + Cleanup + Setup and downtime

= 1.26 + 0.26 + 0.26

= 1.78 hours

Ans. (c) Standard labor cost per gallon = Standard rate * Standard labor hours

= $19.76 * 1.78

= $35.1728
