Answer #1
Concepts and reason

IUPAC stands for international union of pure and applied chemistry. IUPAC has given a nomenclature to name the organic compounds. The IUPAC name consists of three parts: root name, prefix and suffix. Aliphatic and aromatic both compounds follow the same rules.

Fundamentals

The three parts of an IUPAC nomenclature of aromatic compounds are root name, prefix and suffix.

Numbering of carbon atoms starts from the prior group as per the alphabetical order and functionality.

Prefix tells the position and name of the substitutions present on the aromatic ring.

Suffix tells the functional group present in the structure.
