As we know, the US is a multicultural and very diverse nation, people came here for opportunities and became US citizens. The current scenario is predicting a report, current data predicts that the US will be a Non-Latino white nation till 2044.

The current status pressured agencies because the demographic shift develops a unique set of circumstances for health care and civil services.

APA and DCCIS developed a cross-cultural method or tool to understand cultural impacts on human behavior called CFI. The cultural formulation interview help practitioners to understand the cultural impacts because the cultural impact is a crucial condition in human behavior. This tool is very useful to increase the validity and reliability of an assessment.

The CFI can be used in clinical settings with all patients and clinicians because everyone has own culture and understandings, a person who does not belong to religious also can be assessed with the help of this tool. The CFI has three major components, if a person wants to conduct CFI, he/she must be aware of the cultural context behind each and every question. For example, if we are conducting this test on a homeless woman, we must be concerned about her basic problems as well as needs. She can describe restlessness, insomnia, etc. and reason can be roadside living, fear of being looted, etc.
