(i)                 Do you subscribe to the view that sharecropping is an inefficient form of tenancy in agriculture? You may argue for or against this view.

(ii)               Currently, agriculture performs a supporting role in the developing world—it supports the urban industrial sector. Are you satisfied with this role or do you want to advocate a different role in agriculture?

1) Yes share cropping is an in efficient form of tenancy in agriculture because it is one form of slave plantation system . In share cropping the tenant will work whole day will keep all his time , money and everything for the crop to harvest but the owner of the land will take more than half of the share at the time of harvest as rent.

Share croppers are always poorer and with a lower status in the society as they were considered as labour not as tenants. So share croppers cannot loose harvest as they won't get any benefit of the crops harvest is not good. So they will try to harvest only crops which will bring money to them and harvest on time with out any risk. So this things are making the land inefficient for other crops. Thus share cropping is an inefficient form of tenancy in agriculture.

2) Agriculture is having a satisfactory role in the developing world by supporting urban industrial sector . But this is not sufficient it has grow in a such a way that it should be an indicator which shows that the country is growing. Every country should understand the food resources are being used up which makes us to develop artificial food products. Agriculture got a very vast role in future, so government should support and develop this sector. All the countries should help each other country so that they all can develop in this sector which helps us for our survival.
