Answer #1

Answer: Atherosclerosis is a condition where the blood supply gets restricted, due to presence of cholesterol and fat deposition. The artery becomes narrow and hardens.

Atherosclerosis starts with damage to the endothelium as it causes increase in the blood pressure, this causes plague. When bad cholesterol i.e. LDL, crosses the damaged endothelium, the cholesterol enters the wall of the artery which causes hardening of the artery walls.
