(a) Why does the industry of employment matter in the Specific Factors model, yet not in the Heckscher-Ohlin model?

(b) Think about an extension of the specific-factors model in which in addition to their wage, labour also earns some part of the rental on specific factor in their industry. How does this addition of employment change the Specific Factors model?

The indusry of employment matter in specific factor model because in this specific factors cannot move. They are limited to kne industry example skilled workers etc. So the employment would be such that cureent workeers are satisfied and productivity is also more. But in hecksher-ohlin model the labour is assumed to be mobile. They can freely move.

B) This addition would mean that labour will earn more apart from the wages. This will change the specific factor model as the basic assumption is that labour does not go from one place to another. But earning more will lead to loss of immobility of factors of production.
