Predict the initial and final products for the following reaction involving 2-pentyne Hint: the products are isomers and in equilibrium with each other. Initial Products Final Products H2SO4 HgSO4 For hydration of an unsymmetrical alkyne, a C-O bond may form at either carbon atom of the carbon-carbon triple bond, yielding different products. As such, there is another enol to identify Likewise, this ketone is correct, and there is a second ketone product to identify

for question 19 can you explain why you picked the reagents you did? Sterist CH; HC CHH; CCH; - CC CH trans vinylic anion more stable anion able cis vinylic a less stab electron repulsion cis radical anion less stable Hical anion is more stable than the cis radical anion, because the nonbonded electrons are farther apart i The trans vinylic anion is more stable than the cis vinylic anion, because the relatively bulky alkyl group in the trans isomer...

Can you help me identify reagent (i), Compound 8 and Compound 12 in the reaction scheme? You have laboratory data on all the compounds in the synthesis, however the amount of data available to you varies. Some have the entirety of the spectral data, others have as little as the elemental analysis. Use the laboratory data to help you discover which reaction has been performed. The lab data for Compound 8 and 12 is as follows: You can use any...
