Consider the three alkoxide bases: methoxide, ethoxide, and tert-butoxide. In what way is the reactivity of tert-butoxide different from the others in elimination reactions? methoxide ethoxide tert-butoxide o tert-butoxide is a much stronger base than the others and so only performs o tert-butoxide is a much weaker base than the others and so doesnt perform E1 elimination reactions elimination reactions. tert-butoxide has more steric bulk than the others so it is more likely to make the Hofmann elimination product. the Zaitsev elimination product.

Answer #1

c).tert-butoxide has more steric bulk than the others so it is more likely to make the Hoffman elimination product.

tert-butoxide is a very bulky molecule.it can be used to form yhe less substituted alkenes in E2 elimination reactions. Most of the time elimination reactions favor the more substituted akene which is the zaitsev product. However when tert-butoxide is used,it will preferentially remove the proton from the smaller group.this produces the Hoffman product.

It’s always tempting to see the present moment as the peak of chaos and disruption, whether we’re talking about politics or just how those teenagers behave today. The same is true in marketing, because in many ways that profession is always in a state of chaos and disruption. But I don’t think it’s hyperbole to apply “peak chaos and disruption” to social media marketing in the first quarter of 2018. Let’s...

    10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
