Answer #1

Here ,

t = 3.1 s

a) height of cliff = 0.50 gt^2

height of cliff = 0.50 * 9.8 * 3.1^2

height of cliff = 47.1 m

the height of cliff is 47.1 m

b) for the speed of the diver

speed of the diver = gt

speed of the diver = 3.1 * 9.8

speed of the diver = 30.4 m/s

the speed of the diver is 30.4 m/s
