Answer #1

Tributary width of Beam 3=4/2=2 m

Load on beam 3=2*5=10 kN/m

Span of Beam 3=9 m

Load on C1 from beam 3=10*9/2=45 kN

Tributary widt of beam 1=1 m

Tributary width of beam 2=1+1=2 m

Load on Beam 1=1*5=5 kN/m

Load on beam2=2*5=10 kN/m

Load on girder 1 from beam 1=5*4/2=10 kN

Load on girder 1 from beam 2=10*4/2=20 kN

Load on girder 2 from girder 1=((10*5)+(20*7))/9=21.11 kN

Load on C1 from girder 2=21.1 kN

Total load on C1=45+21.1=66.1 kN

*please solve ALL questions Assume that the floor between Beams B7 and B8 is supported directly by these two beams only (not by Girders G2 and G3). Beam B7 has a self-weight of 30 plf. The floor slab consists of a 4-in.-thick, normal-weight, reinforced concrete slab (unit weight = 150 pcf). An additional floor dead load of 15 psf is specified to account for the weight of suspended utilities and fixtures. As an exterior beam, B7 must also support one...

A six-storey office building consists of a basement, ground floor (1t floor), five upper floor levels (levels 2 through 6), and a roof. The typical layout of the floor system is shown below, in which each floor girder spans 6 m and floor joists span 4 m. The total plan area of the building is therefore 12 m x 8 m. The roofsystem is similar to the floor system. All of the floors support a uniformly distributed dead load of...
