separation of a three-component mixture by extraction, lab report help, the compounds are benzoic acid ,9-fluorene , and ethyl-4- aminobenzoate. I need help to write Discussion about this lab report and I dont know what should I write.I got 25% recovary for benzoic acid ,32% for ethyl-4- aminobenzoate and 50 % recovary for 9-fluorene.( by the way I lost some product of benzoic acid). please help me full paper as you could for discussion and what is the source of error and how we could imporove the lab. also I attached the procedure of lab report may be help out.

the melting point which I found for benzoic acid is 126-129 C ,
ethyl-4- aminobenzoate : 89-92 C
9-flourene : 49-51 C
and for the mix of crude is 59-71 C
some information about Discussion:
Discussion: The purpose of the discussion is to interpret and compare the results. For this section, list all the important factual information that you obtain from the experiment and then discuss these factual results. For example, report the experimental melting point, % recovery or % yield, etc and then compare this with the literature value and derive a conclusion from this result. For some of the experiments, your instructor might indicate a focus of the discussions. The discussion may also answer the following questions:

The Separation of Three Organic Compounds by Acid, Base Reactions and Liquid, Liquid Extraction. Okay, so we had solid benzoic acid, ethyl 4- aminobenzoate, and 9-fluorenone all dissolved in diethyl ether. We separated the basic component by adding 3M HCl, we separated the acidic component by adding 3M NaOH. I don't understand what happens here. To isolate the acidic solution, we added 6 M NaOH and used the vacuum to recover the solid. To isolate the basic solution we added...

Extraction of benzoic acid and 9-fluorenone using diethyl ether. (please do not include ethyl 4- aminobenzoate). I have to create a flow chart to diagram the key steps of the experiment and isolation of products. 0.100g of benzoic acid and 9-fluorenone are dissolved in diethyl ether. The extraction solvent is 5% sodium hydroxide (to extract the acidic component from the organic phase). Saturated sodium chloride is added to the organic layer. drying the organic solution: anhydrous sodium sulfate is added...
In an organic chemistry lab of separation of Neutral and Acidic substances to separate a mixture of equal amounts of dibenzalacetone and benzoic acid. My recovery of the samples gave me a melting point for benzoic acid (121-122 C) while the actual mp is (122-123 C ) and for dibenzalacetone i got a melting point of (108-109.7 C) while the actual mp is ( 110-111 C). what do the melting points tell you about the purity of the compounds recovered....

Experiment 9 Acid-Base Extraction Liquid-liquid extraction utilizes the contrast solubilities of solutes in two immiscible solvents the separation of a mixture. An extracting solvent can be reactive that changes the character of solute. Consider a mixture of organic acid, organic base, and neutral substance, for example, benzoic acid, aniline, biphenyl, nd phenol. They sodium benzoate. Sodium hydroxide changes phenol to sodium phenoxide. Hydrochloric acid changes aniline to...
