More is the distance , more is the ionise molecule through which charge flows so spark showing more ions lighting up .

Hence luminosity will increase .

B) whereas in humid days water molecules will be present in the air , we know that water molecules are good conductor of charge and electricity so charge will flow without ionising air molecules . So we won't be able to see sparks
