Second law of Kinematics (S = ut + 0.5at^2;

S=displacement which is basically positon;

u = initial velocity,

a=acceleration; t=time taken)


1. Implies position is unchanged with respect to time. So, the body is not moving at all.


2.Slope is constant. This implies position changes constantly with time.

Position (S) = k * time(t).

This implies acceleration = 0; and the body is moving with uniform velocity.Therefore the body is in uniform motion.


3.Slope is not constant. This implies position is varying with time, but not in a linear relation

therefore there is an accleration involved. Therefore it's an acclerated motion.
