       anemia.

20) Atrophic gastritis damages the stomach mucosal lining which results in decreased

      acid level in the stomach (Achlohydria) and decrease intrinsic factor which is essential

      for B12 absorption.

      It leads to B12 deficiency and result in macrocytic anemia.
