#. Communication is the most important factor in providing care and services to the patients. It can be verbal and non verbal . Before initiating a care plan for a patient the healthcare workers should establish therapeutic communication with the client . In this scenario , the patient is a non - English speaking person who is using his or her family member to communicate regarding the side effects of the medication prescribed for hypertension .

Here ,in this case the healthcare workers should first establish a therapeutic relationship with the client which involve good communication and for that the healthcare workers should use steps like use of written materials , use of paper and pen , pictures , etc for better communication . Then provide them health education regarding the adherence and compliance to the medication . What are the adverse effects of not taking the medication and it's complications and how it will increase the severity of the disease condition. Take feedback from the patient to evaluate the care plan provided and make the changes as per the requirements .
