If diamond were perfectly cleaved, it would yield geometric figures like the ones shown in the figure below, but this mineral is fluorite. From the image alone you should be able to tell that these specimens are not diamond. How? Look up in Appendix C other mineral properties of diamond and fluorite that you can use to tell them apart.
